**Benyon is clearly a talent and it's hoped his big chance comes along** David Parkinson

Neatly staged in and around a parked vehicle, the encounter takes place against a ticking clock placed on the dashboard. Typically, Badland is a delight, as the widow cottoning on to what her grandsons are doing and there's genuine poignancy in their parting reassurance for her not to worry, as a police siren wails in the distance. Two Minutes is funny, expertly paced and tense yet light-hearted. There’s a superb cast at work, Annette Badland, Samuel Bottomley and Ashley Margolis make for a wonderful trio. Jamie Benyon’s writing and direction work perfectly in sync to give the story an edge of thrill without losing its comedy heart, making for a lovable, sweet and highly entertaining outing. “At the centre of this film is a heist, and as they always inevitably do; they go wrong. But with it being the Nan that causes the wrong, it is a lovely turn of hand which takes a sinister moment and finds a bit of sweetness out of it”. (Festival Formula)

Writer/Director Statement - Jamie Benyon

"Excuse the hyperbole, but making 'Two Minutes' has been the best filmmaking experience of my life so far.“ Not only was I incredibly fortunate - and lucky - to win FilmBath's IMDB Script To Screen Award and receive full funding for this project. First time I've ever been funded. I've also been so lucky to collaborate with some of the funniest and loveliest humans on the planet. From my mentor BAFTA-winning director, Tom George, to casting director Jessica Mescall, to producer Annie Lees-Jones, cinematographer Kitt Sullivan and everyone else on the crew. It's really been such an amazing experience working with all of these people. Without them, 'Two Minutes' would still be gathering digital dust on my laptop. That said, looking back over this experience, my biggest and best experience has been working with the cast. Annette Badland, Samuel Bottomley and Ashley Margolis. These wonderful and super-talented actors not only believed in the script, they were genuinely the best cast I've ever worked. And between me and you. up until this project, I'd only worked with semi-professional and amateur actors, so taking this leap to work with screen legends and BAFTA-nominated actors kind of intimidated me. However, the moment we started rehearsing and talking through the script, all of my anxieties and trepidations faded and I was able to relax and just enjoy collaborating with the cast.

'Two Minutes' is a visual treat for the eyes thanks to the brilliant work by DoP magician Kitt Sullivan. But the performances we captured are bloody sublime. Wow. Every time I watch and rewatch this film, I find myself in awe of this cast. They seriously brought their A-game and absolutely nailed it! I honestly can't believe they're starring in my film! I could not be happier. Actors really are the ultimate special effect.I hope that when people watch this film, they not only laugh but find themselves moved. This film has been made with love and passion that I believe you can feel in every frame. It's been an absolute pleasure collaborating and working with everyone on this project. Their hard work speaks for themselves and I hope that we all can work together again."
